CLEPs: The Key to Your Next Promotion or Job

The US economy is rough right now, and unemployment is high. Because of this, the job market is even more competitive than it has been in the past, as more and more individuals are competing for less and less jobs. In an effort to distinguish, many adults are going back to college. However, college work takes a lot of time and money, and delays the benefits of higher education in the job market.

More efficient ways of earning college credit are needed on the job market, and the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a great alternative method. Some of the huge advantages that CLEPs offer to adults are:

With CLEP, you get credit for what you know. Many adults struggle with boredom and frustration when they are forced to participate in classes where they already know the subject material. CLEP exams are a way to skip these classes.
CLEP exams help adults graduate quicker. Adults returning to college want to complete their degree as soon as possible, to be able to get that next promotion or job. CLEP tests can take as little as a week to study for, enabling adults to get on with life sooner.
CLEPs are a way to earn cheaper credit. It’s a tough economy out there, and the less debt that an adult can have, the better. CLEP exams cost less than $100 for 3-12 college credits, and can ease the financial burden for students.
CLEP exams are a great option for adults, and offer benefits to adults that are hard to find elsewhere. It’s a stretch to say that CLEP will fix  the economy, but CLEPs definitely do offer great benefits to adult students, both in time and money savings. So if you are going back to college as an adult, take a look at using CLEP tests to shorten your degree process, making that next job or promotion that much closer.
